9. Alice Neel – Un regard engagé

Mark your calendar because in the fall of 2022, the Centre Pompidou will present a retrospective of Alice Neel’s work. She was a painter but also a feminist icon and activist and was one of the first to highlight the intersectionality of different systems of oppression. Her work is showcased through two axes: the class struggle and the gender struggle. It’s an event not to be missed.
