Wrapped Coast, Christo and Jeanne Claude
Christo and Jeanne-Claude, Wrapped Coast, 1968

Artsper team regularly looks over all works of art of one artist and chooses 10 of them that the team absolutely wants to keep. Even though it is a completely subjective retrospective, this is the occasion for you to discover again the genius of the artist.

This week, Artsper is looking into the star couple of Land Art, Christo and Jeanne Claude, internationally-known couple, known for its  monuments’ “packages” or landscape then can be urban or wild. With the need of months of practice for a result exhibited just a few weeks, these works of art are monumental and short-lived. According to Christo and Jeanne Claude, their outdoor work was made to impress the spectator while offering a new vision of a “gained” place, crying out in freedom.
